Excessive daytime sleepiness
Dozing off unintentionally during the day, or finding it hard to stay awake, even though you spend enough time in bed at night.
A little more detail
An increased tendency to sleep during periods when one is expected to be awake; it is assessed subjectively with the Epworth scale and objectively with the MSLT and the maintenance of wakefulness test (MWT). Obstructive sleep apnea, narcolepsy and insufficient sleep are the main causes.
